Due to several water main breaks and resulting street closures throughout the city of Connersville, bus transportation may be delayed today as drivers navigate alternate routes to safely transport students.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our transportation team works diligently to adjust routes and ensure all students arrive safely.

Thank you for your continued support of the Fayette County School Corporation!

We are still unsure of a time to restore water service at Frazee. In order to maintain sanitary conditions and to avoid sending students home to empty households, we are bussing all Frazee students to the high school. Frazee students will have school today in the REW auditorium at Connersville High School. Students will then be bussed back to Frazee this afternoon for dismissal as usual. The Frazee office will remain open for phone calls. If students need to be picked up early for any reason, arrangements should be made through the Frazee office. Thank you.

We are currently without power at Fayette Central. Crews are working on restoring service. Our maintenance staff have been hard at work this morning preparing for student arrival and the generator is running. At this time, school will continue as normal, but Fayette Central parents should keep phones close in case circumstances change with our water functionality that would require an early dismissal. Thank you for your understanding.

It was a great day for the CMS choirs at the ISSMA Organizational Contest on March 14th, held at New Castle Middle School!

The Guys Choir, Treble Choir, and Mixed Choir earned gold ratings from all three judges, and earned the Gold rating overall! Additionally, the Treble Choir and Mixed Choir earned the honor of "Gold with Distinction." This means their scores were so good, that another level of achievement was recognized by the judges. Every year, across the state of Indiana, only 10% or fewer of the band, choir, and orchestra entries earn the "with distinction" honor.

Mrs. Clifford and the choirs would especially like to thank Mr. Morey, Mrs. Risch, and Mr. Wilson for coming on the trip to supervise, assist, support, and encourage the choirs. We would also like to thank Mrs. Brock who took so much time to prepare medical bags to ensure all of our students were safe and prepared for the day.

Frazee Open House

We are deep in the planning stages of a renovation and small addition to Eastview Elementary School. The project will include a complete floor to ceiling renovation of the school including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and more. It also includes many finish upgrades. Above you see school and district leadership working through finish details.

One of the most exiting aspect of the planned renovation is a small addition on the west end of the building. This renovation will expand and enhance the space for our students receiving special education services (see picture).

The funding for this project was accomplished without raising tax rates. In fact, our tax rate decreased for 2026. The project is set to kick off in late fall with a goal of completion by the end of 2027.
